A comprehensive educational journey
At Darb Al Saada School, we believe that education is an ongoing journey that begins with small exploratory steps and culminates in preparing leaders capable of shaping the future. Our academic pathway is meticulously designed to align with the United Arab Emirates' vision of enhancing educational quality, as we adopt modern, student-centred teaching methods that meet their cognitive, skill, and personal needs at every stage of their development.
We offer our students a rich and progressive academic environment, seamlessly transitioning them from play-based and interactive learning to advanced scientific research and critical thinking, while keeping them deeply rooted in their national identity and authentic values.
School Bylaws
School Hours
Our daily journey at Darb Al-Saadah School begins regularly at 7:00 am, with the gates closing at 7:25 am to ensure a quiet and productive start to the school day. School hours extend until 2:15 pm from Monday to Wednesday, and end early at 1:35 pm on Thursdays. The school week includes 35 educational periods, at a rate of 9 periods daily (and 8 periods on Thursday), and the school day is punctuated by two break times (recesses) to refresh the students' physical and mental energy.
To ensure maximum academic benefit, we attach great importance to commitment to attendance and avoiding morning lateness; arriving after 7:25 am means missing the first period. We also emphasise that repeated unjustified absence directly affects the student's academic level, and absence during exam periods is not considered valid except with certified medical reports.
Activities and Field Trips
We believe that learning is not limited to classrooms, but extends to include practical experience. The school organises educational and exploratory trips throughout the year (such as visiting science museums and zoos) to link theoretical curricula with reality. We also involve our students in periodic competitions ranging from academic to cultural (such as Holy Qur'an memorisation competitions and national occasions) to encourage them to be creative, showcase their talents, and develop a spirit of positive competition among them.
Health and Proper Nutrition Policy
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body; therefore, we are keen to provide an integrated healthy environment for our students, supported by a fully equipped school clinic for periodic follow-up and rapid intervention. To maintain students' energy and focus, the school implements a strict healthy food policy that prohibits bringing unhealthy foods (such as soft drinks, spicy crisps, and fast food like Indomie), and we encourage parents to provide their children with healthy meals and sufficient quantities of water throughout school hours.
Important Dates
In our eagerness to keep parents and students constantly informed of the course of the school year, the school issues a comprehensive "Academic Calendar" and sends it at the beginning of each semester through our official approved channels (Telegram channels). This calendar includes all important dates related to exam schedules, school activities, educational trips, and regular meetings.
Certificate Policy
In commitment to the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah as a benchmark emirate in the quality of education, the school is committed to engaging its students in standardised and international assessments (such as PISA, TIMSS, and PIRLS) to evaluate achievement in reading, mathematics, and science, in addition to cognitive ability tests to measure verbal, quantitative, and spatial reasoning skills.
Supportive school environment
Our academic pathway is integrated with a disciplined bylaws aimed at providing an ideal learning environment that helps students be creative and focus, and this includes:
Positive Discipline: We adopt a "positive discipline" approach to encourage good behavior and create a safe, supportive environment. Our staff relies on continuous encouragement and the development of student self-discipline.
Responsible Technology Use and Device Policy: Students in Grade 5 and above are permitted to use educational electronic devices (such as laptops and tablets) on specific days (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and strictly under teacher supervision. Conversely, bringing mobile phones and smartwatches onto the school campus is strictly prohibited for all students to ensure their undivided attention on academic achievement.
General Appearance and Commitment: We instil in our students the values of commitment and seriousness through adherence to the approved school uniform and avoiding any additions that violate the official dress code (such as non-school jackets or makeup), which builds a cohesive school identity.
At "Darb Al-Saadah", we are committed to providing an education that not only imparts knowledge, but also builds creative, thinking leaders ready to face tomorrow's challenges and shape its future within a safe and stimulating school environment.
